Well - we should have been out shopping this morning to re-stock the larder. However, SWMB is coughing, sneezing, sniffling, running (eyes and nose that is - any other form of running was outlawed long ago!) - and I'm just as bad
Back to bed again methinks - try and catch up on some of the last two nights' loss of sleep.

[QUOTE=freddie;2580597

Have to go to a friends funeral today.
She was diagnosed with cancer 28th November died 28th December
So fast unbelievable.[/QUOTE]

That was like my mother in ñaw Freddie, she had been very poorly for about 6 months, diagnosed with stomach cancer at the end of April 1999; given just months, passed away on 29th May same year.. Still its better for the person to go quickly like that, than to linger in pain and suffering for months or even years. My uncle had lung cancer,and he really suffered for a good 6/7 months.
Anyway change of suject., Im getting my van serviced today,and new alternator belt put on ,as it was pretty knackered, taking Xmas tree down today too, which I always find depressing, the house looks bare without it.

Took the out side lights down this morning and with all the other decorations now back in the loft for another year.

Freddie, I am sorry to hear this news about your friend. Its always a shock to lose someone like that and hard on those loved ones left behind. A former member received the news that he was terminally ill. He said he didn’t want to hang around or to be a burden and a place was found for him in a hospice. He passed away within a week. He was an immense loss to his family, his friends and to the club. Rest In Peace old friend.

Good evening Ian, I am not sure how I am going to manage when I am back in the cold in 2 weeks time. Mind you though, I could do with a break from this oppressive tropical heat of 32C - 35C almost daily. The mosquito bites and the ants I won’t miss lol

Good evening Phil, blimey! 32/35C that is scary hot. I couldn't handle anything like those temps. I feel drained when the temps are in the 70's F .

I've been emailing with my mate in Ontario Canada today & their temps are polar opposite & even scarier, -21C His garage door was frozen solid to the ground & couldn't get it open to get the car out.

I've been re-watching Star Wars films 'The Empire strikes back' this evening.

You need to put your foot down John and let her know who wears the strides
