Brake Fault
Every now and again when I start the car a red "BRAKE FAULT" flashes on the dash.
It's only on a sec and you miss it if you wasn't looking. The brakes work fine. As I said it only happens every now and again. Any idea what it could be?

Bad connection on one of the pad thickness sensors or low brake fluid/ level sensor (if you have one) at master cylinder under the inspection cover under the bonnet.

It's an IPK firmware issue on some 2003 model year cars with a message centre IPK.
Just another thing not to worry about, the same batch of IPK sometimes chuck up "Err" in the mileage trip display Brian |

On mine it was voltage drop on the battery when starting that was triggering the Brake fault. New battery cured it.
