It's a very colourful scene throughout, I'm maybe thinking de saturating the foreground slightly may help to lead us into the waterfall itself ?

Also think a portrait composition may lend itself well to the scene with the stream of water acting as a leading line to the waterfall

I forgot to reply to this. Thanks Jeff, I agree with you about the saturation, however, added saturation was absolutely minimal (to counter the way RAW files are quite subdued straight out from the sensor) most of the colours popped using curves. I'll attach a couple from the same place, but these are of a local War Memorial, since it we are getting close to Remembrance Sunday.
