EGR clean,now black smoke???

Hi All,
Had my egr cleaned a few days ago,but now have quiet a lot of black smoke coming from the exhaust whenever I accelerate, is this just the "residual" gunk being forced out?? I have only used the car for trips to & from work (20 miles)
Any advice please?

If it doesn't clear up with more driving then check that all the connections you undid when you cleaned out your EGR are gas tight, and that any seals etc, if you also removed the inlet manifold, are correctly seated.
