Maybe this thread has been forgotten for a while and needs a bump ...

Anyway, today is the French National Day. Took Samarkand for a wash. On the way back, I could not resist taking this picture with the Eiffel Tower behind her. (Sorry, I only had my camera phone for this one )
By the way, the buildings before the Eiffel Tower are the Military School of Paris. I could not get nearer to the Eiffel Tower due to road blocades by the military for the parades...

and another one:

Again a little Bump for this thread (that seems to be forgotten once again). Now's a good time to post some pictures near historical places with your 75/ZT (for those going places this summer)

Here's a picture of mine near the Castle of La Roche-Guyon (about 70 kms from Paris). This castle is half embeded in the mountain rocks. (The side that you do not see does not have windows). There is a dug tunnel into the mountain that goes straight up to the dungeon on the mountain top. (I've done it, with its uneven stairs and chalky dust...). The castle was used by German General Rommel during WWII as his headquarters...

I have a picture suitable for this thread but am reluctant to use Photobucket, the last time I tried to upload a picture from there ( to here) I was ambushed by a Trojan!

Colwyn Bay looking East, taken whilst waiting for Tim0 to arrive during the RBRelay.

Looking the other way, showing the Colwyn Bay Pier.
