All I can say is that this tool is fantastic for anybody who really wants to look after their cars and not get caught out by incorrect diagnosis by others.
Mine has helped me out of a few sticky moments, and like Pete, enjoy using it to keep an eye on things. In terms of general release open for all to use, I seriously doubt that this would happen in Phil's lifetime not least at a meeting where perhaps dozens of vehicles could potentially be interrogated. The license will have a restriction to a number of vehicles and the quantity would be commensurate with the cost of the kit. But I am sure that if the interested parties would make a contribution as a group, there may lye an opportunity to share it. By far the best route to organise this, would be to make contact with Phil directly and discuss your requirements. It is for this reason, that I kept my VT4 quiet when I got mine, as this may have caused difficulties, but Pete has legitimately purchased the kit, and hope he benefits from his as much as I have mine. Also, it is a great tool to have, don't use it every day but handy when needed. My thanks to Phil for organising my VT4 Last year! |
