Default Enjoy the next couple of days

It looks like today is going to be a good one with plenty of Sunshine.
Enjoy while you can, we are not far off Autum.
Summer seemed to start late this year so lets hope it ends late too.
Ken.

Hoping to spend some time on our boat tomorrow and on the Bank Holiday weekend so should get some enjoyment out of the sunshine

Any plans yourself Ken?

It's not started at all in Wigan, I've been marking off dry days since last October, there's been 36 dry day here since then. I started on the day we had the meet at Leyland..

Did someone mention Leyland? Any excuses to post this; the oldest vehicles I've travelled in were Leylands; a 1935 Titan and this, an exhibit at the BCVM (see link on my signature) a 1938 Leyland Lynx!

Had a ride out on it by pure luck when I went to visit my friends in Leyland. I know the guys there and consider them friends; they know about my Leyland Zoo so that's the connection!

Zoo and Lynx in pictures...

And yes it's blooming hot here already!

Walked the dog this morning at 06:30 - the mist was low over the ground and the sky a clear blue - no clouds at all.

The condensation on the spiders webs and tall grass was fantastic to see.

One heck of a good start to the day!

I remember seeing Leyland bus/coach chassis being driven down the A6 from the factory to the coachbuilders. There was no bodywork at all, the drivers were wrapped up like mummys in the winter. If I remember correctly they were stopped from delivering them this way in the late 60s and had to have them trailored.
