Sorry to disagree but I thought he struck exactly the right note. Everyone reads from a script. I hardly think any "spad" needed to write anything for an ex-DPP. I loathe everything Johnson stands for: his continual lies, corruption, immorality, cronyism and incompetence. Read Tom Bower's excellent biography The Gambler if you want further evidence.

I also thought that all the party leaders other than the PM presented themselves as experienced statesmen and experienced politicians whose words can be believed. The prolem is that even if BoJo one day told the truth no one could/would believe him.

Good for you, enjoy the journey.

Helpful hint: watch out for the split infinitives and of course the spelling of ‘though’. Somewhat embarrassingly, the word ‘dictionary’ in particular also needs revision (the cover of the tome might be helpful). In addition, the over-grammatical usage of capitals when there were none in the original address format would be a good place to start.

Please, please, desist. I am not and will not give guidance to anybody unless asked for. Your patronisation appears mocking and is objectionable, please stop following me.

No one is following you - we are on the same forum and thread!

You could end this exchange by not responding, or must you you always have the last patronising word?

This is all a bit political for me. Nice to see some of the opinions though. Chris S.

Apparently this "party" was held prior to a planned office meeting, which suggests that those attending the former were also the same attending the latter. The only difference being some alcohol and food at the former? It seems that in paying the fine it was hoped that this would go away.

Whatever it ain't going to.

More popcorn ordered for tomorrow.
