Morning all, Another sunny morning with blue skies but the forecast is not as hot as the last few days with a high of 20C

The pigeon started flapping it's wings up the chimney again bang on 05:00 same as yesterday How strange. I got up to see if I could reach it but it's still too far up the chimney

Cool

Morning everyone.

Grey start to the day, no idea if the storm hit us last night as I slept right through.

Getting Banana ready for a meet tomorrow, going with the Coffee and Cars group.

Morning. Up for the 2nd time, was up at five but went back to bed after Ging left for work. Didn't get back to sleep, never do, dozing is the best I manage. Supposed to rain during the night but any that fell was negligible, there's a warning for thunderstorms this evening though.

Typical! Charged the batteries in the SLR to try for a decent pic of parent and junior woodpeckers . . . . haven't seen them this morning

Examined by the vascular surgeon yesterday at a private hospital in North London. This afternoon at 3pm, having an emergency CT scan. He thinks I will need to have the chest opened up to have the aneurysm repaired with a graft. He said I will need the scan as the graft has to be custom made according to the measurements found during the scan, also the heart is to be reassessed to see if it’s okay as the heart will take a hit from the procedure. The blood vessels are clamped off below the heart, then ICU afterwards. Not really looking forward to it. But everything depends on the scan and heart assessment. Then looking for somewhere for Jessica to stay during the op and post op.

its now open season on squirrels here! Went to fill the bird feeders, have two plastic ones that I got temporarily until I could get decent ones, both have been destroyed, the access holes at the bottom have been chewed to the extent that they can no longer hold seeds. The pole has an anti climb dome on it so can only have been a squirrel. Still got the two more substantial feeders, they'll have to do for now.

Not quite the peaceful return back to Blighty then Phil

It does seem to suggest that having all the check ups you have is making sure that you are receiving the right treatment promptly .

Good luck with the scan

Carry on like this Phil and you'll be joining me in the NHS frequent fliers club! Seriously Phil, hope they get on top of it.
