The DVT dept at Bolton rang up again & they want me to take part in some new DVT trials with people who have new DVT's less than 2 weeks old, I said yes it's the least I could do.
I've got my sister to push me in the wheelchair as my missus struggled with her arthritis.

Blimey! Phil they didn't half put you through it cancelling all those appointments, I'd never really given blood clots much thought as you (I) think I'm still invincible
Missus says black pudding & the like are now off the menu
There are a couple of blood clot markers: Troponin and D-Dimer blood tests used to help diagnose blood clots.

Ian, if your still in a lot of pain or the pain is unbearable revisit A&E or call out the emergency doctor to visit you at home. You should not have to put up with pain like that. I was tried on a Fentanyl stick on slow release patch which didn’t work. The Oramorph liquid did the trick. I started on 2.5ml in a syringe squirted into the mouth and gradually the strength built up giving almost instant relief. A side effect of morphine is constipation and nausea but there medications which will counter act the side effects. Morphine is calming and addictive but it usually works for severe pain.

Good afternoon. Making siopao again . . . . third time in a week, Ging is mainlining on the bl00dy things!

Still got the light headed feeling, probably have to speak to the doc on Monday as I've all but finished the iron and folic acid tablets . . . . can't say as I've felt any benefit from them. Put it this way, been taking them for weeks and the light headed feeling only appeared days ago.

In the garden the last couple of days. Trimmed a couple of bushes at the front and the old boy next door asked to borrow the (electric) trimmer. I went inside to roll a ciggy, came back out and he was standing with a rather sheepish look, he'd managed to catch the cable. Profuse apologies, done it myself more than once. Out with the soldering iron, heatshrink etc.

Later in the day I was hanging some washing only to be confronted by a black and yellow Zeppelin, huge, very curious, bumble bee. It buzzed around my head giving me a good once over then inspected everything I hung out. I'm not in the slightest bothered about bumble bees, wasps are another matter! I was set upon when I had the dogs out years ago, think they disturbed a nest because I was suddenly surrounded by a could of wasps, stung eight times

Evening all,

Just catching up on all I missed whilst up on the boat.

Wow......Ian, so glad you took Andy's advice before things could have got a lot worse. Get well soon boss, same for you as well Steve.

Colin, just seen your P.M and going to reply now.

I'm watching the F1 qualifying at the moment. Lot's going on but won't spoil it for you guys not watching it live.

I'll watch the England friendly later.

Morning, bl00dy long time since I was first in! Bit cool out there, sun is trying to burn through the mist, couldn't see the main road an hour or so ago.

Cool

Morning everyone.

The sun is shining.

Going to give the Bear a nice wash. Then off to a new garden centre, well new to me.
