Default Is there something missing from my automatic?

I've finally got around to looking at the shift on my auto box (diesel). (I fell off some ladders and I'm OK but I've not been up to lying under the car for a while).

For a while it was very difficult to select park. Then the shifter went all loose and the car was stuck in gear. I can see that the shifter cable is disconnected from the selector on the auto box.

How should it connect?
Is there something missing?
Does some kind soul have a diagram of the relevant area or would be willing to photograph their working box?
What part(s) do I need to order to fix this?

Default Auto g/linkage

Basically a bolt with a hole in it connects the cable to the selector arm on the gearbox.Cable end goes through the bolt and then is clamped to arm. Checked on Rimmers site and seems bolt is no longer available. Visit a scrappies or PM Micky on traders site.

Default Is there a pic somewhere?

I could not find a relevant diagram on Rimmers. I can pop what I have left on the cable easily in and out of the hole on the selector bracket, so I'm guessing there should be some penny washers or something to hold the bolt in place.

The weather does not look good for a foray to the scrapyards.

If it is just a case of holding the cable end in place and allowing an amount of swivel, I will see what I can rig up from my box of 'it will come in useful some time' items...

This is what you should have..

A rubber washer that fits into the hole in the selector shaft, the other pieces then fit inside the washer and the selector cable passes through them.
