It will be fine when you have that new flywheel in.

Yep, or I could scrap the thing, after all I was expecting a clean MOT, not a one littered with major defects deeming it suitable only for scrap ......

Yeah me too

I missed out on a trip to collect the necessary bits and bobs this week, as I was too busy wasting time in the workshop.

Still I won't be doing that for much longer

Clean the cast iron lug up with a rotary cup brush, then after greasing the bolt, put a bit of a nip onto the bolt through the extractor, then give the end of the bolt a bop with your favourite knocking stick.

Once it's moving it can be wound out with the extractor, and when fitting the new bushes, make sure the radiused end enters first, and you've cleaned the inside of the loop with emery and a smear of LM grease.

Well, after further doses of WD40, I decided to give up on trying to pull the remnants of the rear upper bush out and instead gave it a clout with a 30mm socket and a 4lb hammer. I was very surprised to see some movement and 2 mins later the old bush casing was out with little sign of rust, happy days!! Just the other side to do now then back on the road soonest

Did the Renault thermostat mod, all nice and toasty now, went for a blast down the M2 and did a bit of traffic work too, needle sits spot on 9 o'clock all the time. Much better than it was ... never got more than 5mm off the blue dot before.
Don't have a manual yet so still trying to figure out the climate control malarkey ! holy moly ... it's a complicated animal, or maybe I'm just a bit slow upstairs lol.
