My wife's 2000 reg MB 230SLK needed a new security/locking ECU first winter after she bought it, due to water filling up the boot well in which it lived. £900 fitted, thank you! (Not new, bought 4 years ago - she still loves it.)

Back to my little brother and his MB200Kompressor- he asked me if he would have to have his ignition key re programmed to the new ecu, I would think the answer is Yes? and would expect a MG main agent would do it? That's what I told him! Its a bit of a dogs breakfast really- reminds me of the early Mini's and the drowned distributors-and just a simple bit of metal shielding solved the problem. Chris.S.

Here a few photo's of the one I did a few days ago.

Once under the car cut 15mm off the drainage tubes and they will never get blocked up again, unless you grew a rain forest in the plenum area

Take the ECM out of the plastic housing, wrap it up in a dog poo bag, and chuck it on top of the housing

Brian

Oh that'll just be me then

HI Mark.
There are 4 altogether one in each inner wing drivers side was deleted in the PPD and a bung was used to close it off, some members replace the bung with a tube (me)

The most important two are the ones in the plenum one under the servo which can only be accessed from under the car, and the one under the ECU and below the pollen filter, thee link below give you all the info you will need.
