snow down south
Felt as if we had an inch or two of snow over night in the south. 200 miles North where my daughter lives there is none. Snow ploughs out on the motorway and a couple of jackknifed lorries to boot.
Tough driving even in the slush. It will be hell if it turns to ice macafee2 |

Missed us by 12 miles. Plenty of white stuff out on Dartmoor.

It started here about 0900 for three hours. A couple of inches, melting still at the moment though the forecast is for a good frost.

It only took a hour to melt in London.

Once again sunshine for us from dawn pretty much all day, a couple of patches of light cloud drifted through but no sign of anything in the way of rain or snow.. Which suits me just fine

Two inches of snow? sounds like July in Consett, or a heavy frost in Newcastle.
It's just as well most people are not currently gainfully employed at the moment, otherwise it would be a free for all trying to get to work It will be all gone in a day or so, if that Brian |

A good 4-5" here, started about 11am, went off a bit a couple of times but didn't fully stop until nearly 8pm! Snow's piled up against the driveway gates, and forecast to be -4 tonight, so it could be fun tomorrow!

Consett seems to cop it every time.
We have always referred to our Heathrow micro-climate which seems to repel the snow. We really don't get it. |
