You don;t mention the age of your car. However all Petrol cars after 2001 (I think it's 2001) are fully OBD2 compliant so it should work.

Cars prior to that like my 2000 plate 75 are partially compatible and support only a subset of the data streams.

What are you expecting it to do?

It's a shame the website does not actually have any real pictures of the items they are claiming to make or a full description of what the product actually does. How long can it record for? What values is it recording? etc...

Additional info.

Just had a look at the UK importer for this and it can record up to 24 hours or 32 starts of data.

Looks like it stores most of the data stream.

Not sure what this actually gives you over a standard £20 lead apart from the convenience of not having to have the car connected to a laptop but for £45 it's a nice toy.

You couldn't drive with it connected often as it's right where your right knee is and you'd probably break it.

Thanks for the response my car was registered 24/12/2001 so fingers x'd

I am hoping it will tell me how the car is running as I have had issues with fault code p0420 saying cat is not efficient!! its a new cat so maybee I have some duff lambda sensors!!
I have an ELM 327 system to link up my laptop and turn off codes but it is a little hit and miss, sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt, im looking for something a bit more easy to use.

I dont think this tool will turn off any lights though which is a shame!
Will post the data if it works!

What exactly are you trying to view with your existing lead.

If you can currently get the MPG readings then it is fully compliant. I cannot with my 2000 plated car.

Someone else had a similar problem IIRC, when I get back later I'll have a search around.
