Fake bomb dectectors
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-22266051
Don't know if you've seen this in the news today, but even after Mr. McCormick was unaminously found guilty on three charges of fraud, leaving court on bail whilst awaiting sentencing he is still convinced and telling everyone that they work. Well, why don't they just drop him into the middle of a minefield, hand him one of his 'detectors', and if they are as effective as he claims and he gets out in one piece then let him have the dosh! Simple! |

I know in reality it's quite serious and you shouldn't laugh but the guy at the checkpoint had almost python comedy value no offence meant to anyone by the way

Unbelievable NOBODY within any authority or procurement or even a buyer actually tested them to see if they worked for a whole 10 years

It won't happen within the confounds of our legal framework but I'd like to see him tried for manslaughter.
The false pretense of this item has almost certainly caused deaths. As said however..who on earth signed the supply deal with him? Where was the trial period and field testing?

Ideally they could find out how many people were killed by bombs that passed by his 'detectors' and charge him with that many counts of endangering life, or manslaughter if possible.
People have died because he wanted nice houses and money - he should be locked up for life (i.e. until he dies), preferably in solitary confinement with just bread and water A very very sick individual indeed |

This is because of corruption with the security forces in various places, they knew they didn't work as well, but it went on at a very high level in some countries. The person who did this really has to be the lowest sort of swine and as above should be treated as a murderer. |

The government encouraged as many contractors as possible to get into iraq and sell.
Obviously without checking them out. So we helped blowing the place up and then sold them mickey mouse detectors when bombs were going off every day there. The jobs a good 'un. |
