Today in the cold
Today in the cold I've decided to fit an FBH to the Tourer. I got the FBH from a scrap yard last year or the year before as a spare for my saloon.
Paid I think about £25-30 for it with a dozing pump. With it being so cold and short days I doubt I'll finish today as I'll probably need to come inside as I have now, to warm my hands. I so hope the FBH works. Hardest job could be lifting the seat cushion up which I'll leave up as I have three other jobs to do involving it. macafee2 |

having a break as back and hands cold. Seat came up very easily, never had a seat so easy. Hardest part was removing the blanking bit between the two pipes for the dozing pump. Even feeding the power down to the pump was not to bad. I went down the front of the fuel tank but on the right side having threaded a bit of coat hanger wire up from below. I taped the power to the coat hanger and pulled it through. With the help of my son sucking the fuel line in the engine bay I flashed 12v from a scalextric transformer across the pump terminals and I now have fuel at the engine bay. a warm drink and a pee and I'll fit the webasto. macafee2 |

Well worth doing, mine's now working fine, with a simple remote too. It was £15 and £10 for the dosing pump. Pot luck if they work I guess but all help you need is on this forum. The how to that Steve (arctic) put together and advice from Devilish proved invaluable.

I think you will find the wires you want aren't in the fuse box, but tucked away between the fusebox and the front nearside corner of the battery box.

I have those two plugs, apparently the wires i'm missing are for a parking heater and not the FBH. I thought they were the same thing, doh macafee2 |
