A few car related items in Lidl from next Thursday

Please note - I have NO connection to Lidl at all - apart from the fact that SWMBO drags me in every week on a Friday

The battery chargers are excellent - I've used one to keep my caravan battery in tip top condition during the Winter for over 4 years. I also occasionally give the Rover's battery a treat when I'm not using it much in the cold weather.

I also have the same charger from Lidl its an intelligent charger so if you have a very flat battery sometimes it doesn't see there's a battery there and you mistakenly think its faulty.

My motorcycle one does this, blooming annoying. I just connect it up and link a good battery across, the charger recognises this one and starts working and I then remove the link..Saved some very discharged batteries this way but tbh most are past saving..

The one on sale next week is slightly different from previous versions - it has a pulse charge to re-awaken very flat batteries. The other thing you can do is to use an old fashioned, simple charger to revive a flat one and then swap over to the intelligent one to top it up and monitor it without over-charging.

Can the Lidl one be connected to the car battery while its still in situ (ie can the battery remain connected)?
