6 years tomorrow
Bought my 2.0l V6 in Nth Ireland 6 years tomorrow. I have to say it's been the best most reliable most comfortable car I've ever owned. Doing all the work myself I reckon it's cost me about Euro200 per annum to service and repair. I know of people who spent more in one go on much newer cars than I've spent in total. So here's to many more Roving years and a big Thank You to all here who've helped me out in the past.

I have just started my 6th year of ownership on my present CDTi Tourer Automatic following an earlier 4 year period (with 1 year between) with a 1.8T Tourer manual, Both Connoisseur SE spec.
During the break, at the start of retirement, I decided I wanted another Tourer, but diesel this time, because of the frightening costs, at that time, of 1.8T headgasket and other repairs before I found out about this Forum. It took me over 3 months searching the internet before I found my CDTi only 15 miles from home, all frozen up in the cold Christmas/New year of 2009/2010 I have loved every minute driving since. As others have stated - the best car I have ever had. Past cars include 1976 Fiat 132 2 Litre, the"Wolf in sheep's clothing", and Humber Super Snipe Series 2 1960, used for Prime Ministers of the time before Rootes met the same fate as Rover in more recent times. I owned both these for 5 years. |
