Phew - it's an MOT pass !
Well - good news allround for me today - my newly acquired MG ZT-T + 190 Typhoon Monogram has made me proud by passing its MOT without issue !
I did have to replace a rear wheel bearing, both front drop links and both front lower wishbones, oh and do a polish job on those headlight lenses too before dropping it in - but well worth the effort ! Even better than that - having requested help on the Technical Forum re a suspected VIS motor issue - i had a visit from Stocktake on his way home too ! Guess what ? The top bloke tested them both, whipped off the offending article and magically produced and fitted a replacement item in minutes ! Job done ! Can't thanks Dave enough for his kind consideration and useful advice to boot - think I`m going to enjoy being part of this forum community ! Now to the other "little" jobs on the list > > > Moisture in the carpets causing steamy windows - no Tina Turner singing please ! Plenums to check very soonly me thinks ! You guys are what makes MG ownership worthwhile - keep up the fantastic work - can't believe the wealth of info and skills on here - humbled John:xmas-smiley-005: |

Congrats to all above. Mine passed today with no advisories.
Now going into 6th year of ownership. Car 12 and a half years old, - 122K miles. It was quite a nice feeling, but how long will it last? Is there a particular year when the MOT becomes expensive? Last edited by GeoffWW; 10th December 2015 at 12:41.. |
