Yh, But the laws are different now. For starters kids up to the age of 12 (I think it is) or a certain height (Their heads have to touch the Headrests) are required to use "Booster Seats" so they are "Safe" in the passenger area of teh car Obviously we all survived in the "Good ole' Days" but things are different now and to suit so is the laws. Its probably a Euro Law, but whatever it is, it is still a Law and lets be honest, would you really consider sticking your three / four kids in the back seat incorrectly secure nowadays?

I agree, my Father-In-Law regales us with tales of driving round in a Toyota Hiace van with a mattress thrown in the back for the 6 kids, you wouldn't do it now for obvious reasons.

Yh We had a Holiday in Cornwall and travelled in a Mini van, three sisters on teh back seat and me and my brother sitting on the "Wheel Arches" behind them lol. But back then, although accidents did happen, the roads where not as busy or filled with complete loons rushing home to watch their fave TV program etc etc etc.....

The question that was asked is how good is a R75 as a family car if you have 3 children. The short answer is not that good really. The car simply is not designed for, or for that fact not intended as a family car. Perhaps back in the day familys just cramed in the motor and thought nothing of it. Fair enough my family did the same. But now with child seat's and booster seat law's that cant happen anymore. Like i said earlier the best thing to do is to buy a car that is much more suitable and is designed for this purpose.
