Hi,

I know this is an old thread but I have the same question so wanted to know if you had found the answer?

I already have a 75 Saloon which I love and really really don't want to sell it but with a 3rd baby on the way its a question of space!!

Many Thanks

Vicki

We have a 75 Saloon, Connie. We regularly have 3 kids in the back, a 14, 11, 8. The width is plenty and the legroom just fine.

We do need a 7 seater now, that our 4th child has returned home...

Regards

Right here's the way i see it. If you have 3 little one's then the last car you want to buy is a Rover 75. You can easily get two child or booster seat's in the back but 3 forget it. The car just aint that big inside to allow for that. Sure you could maybe squeeze 3 in the back seat but mark my word's the back seat is not designed for 3 child seat's. Maybe look at i bigger car. Perhaps a Vectra or Mondeo both are a lot more room'y.

Hi,

Do you still have car seats for your children? I will have a 3yr old, 2yr old and new born?

I dont mind buying new car seats too fit but not sure which 3 would all fit in together?

Many Thanks

Vicki

ros3,

I suspected that would be the case :-( I really didn't want to have to sell my 75 but it seems I may have too.

Thanks

Vicki

Hi Vicki I unfortunately had to sell my ZT when our third arrived as I couldnt fit 3 seats in, at the time we had a newborn baby seat, a seat for a 4yr old and a booster for the 7yr old and they wouldnt fit in, even tried one seat in the front and the missus in the back and also looked at buying slimmer seats but it was a no go, a real pity for me as the ZT gave me 18 months completely trouble free motoring, had absolutely every option available and was the best car I ever owned. I bought a 2 year old Ford S-Max, looked great on paper and was very versatile with 7 seats, 3 full size seats along the middle row and a huge boot, unfortunately it was the worst car I ever owned, trim rattling constantly, bits coming off in your hand, it was bought 2 years old with a years warranty remaining, had it 7 months, maf sensor replaced twice, egr replaced, turbo sensor replaced, turbo replaced, air con condonser and finally cracked head and bent con rods leading to 6 grand bill, thankfully for me I got my money back and lesson learnt...18 months down the line my older boy is out of the booster and Im back in the market for a Tourer, the 75/ZT are much better built than Fords etc.. regardless of age

Aye if you have 3 little one's then i cant see you having much option. A shame but the comfort and safety of the children come before anything else i think.

Shame, it must have been really hard on families years ago when they all had to fit into Ford Anglias, Cortinas, (if they were lucky), Morris Minors, Austin 1100's, Hilman Minx, Ford escorts, Populars, etc.... That's of course if you could afford a car at all!!!

Sorry, but this has made me laugh. Really.

How old are the other two Children? I have a Graco Car Seat in the rear of mine fo rmy 6 year old, we have had it since he was 3 years old and able to sit upright in a Car. You could easily fit two of these and a Baby Seat in the Back, thats if the other two children are big / old enough to use teh upright seat.

However the centre seating position on the 75 is raised and narrow compared to the side passenger seats so not sure how safe it would be to have a Child seat of any sort there.

What carlpenn and ros3 say - you're not going to get three child seats in the back. That depends on the age of your children and what seats they have, if they're just using booster seats, then it could work.
