Good point that. At the minute we have two full size seats, a Maxi Cosi and another similar one. I am hoping that when #3 arrives that my son, who will be 4 then, will be suitable for a booster rather than a full seat?

It could be a tricky conundrum.... :-(

I'd second that. We have two grand daughters (5 and 4) and the 75 makes a great transport for them but we use to full size Britax seats for them and there's not enough room to get a third in the middle, so check out your options before you commit.

That's good news about the middle seat belt.

Yes, the SEi is the one with the half leather seats and alloys. It's never let me down and looks great. It doesn't use a drop of oil or water. I've got a nice quiet stainless steel exhaust on it, and have had some minor restoration done on the arches.

I'll be sad to see it go, but it's time for a change given my expanding family!

I've been on the forums for about 12 months but don't post much. I am sure when I finally get my 75 that I'll be here pretty often.

I go on the Rover 200 forums quite a bit too and they're all a good bunch.

Thanks again and all the best
Paul
Hi Paul,

We once bought a 5 series that had retro fitted, but insurance and vosa approved seats in the boot ( like the volvos) there are companies that do them, may be worth seeing if they do one for the 75.

I have 3 kids aged 9, 8 and 3 Months. Obviously the youngest has a baby seat.

Loads of room in back for the 3 of them and the including baby seat. Kids love the car, very comfortable and smooth for them.

Plus good size boot. Fits pram, baby bags, gym bags and all the rest of junk I have in it.

Owned my 75 for 6 Months now and can't fault it.

Many thanks for all your replies.

We will have to try and squeeze three seats in somehow, althought my oldest son who will be 4 and a half when baby #3 arrives, so hopefully he will be able to go in a slimline booster seat of some description.

If we can get one or two more "slimline" child seats we'll hopefully get them all in.

I really do not want a "people carrier" type vehicle in the slightest!

All the best
Paul

The only limitation I have experienced arises because the car has a boot rather than a hatchback. This causes problems with the dog, and when you have to carry something big in the boot. But otherwise no problems, and I generally like having a saloon instead of a hatchback.

I use my tourer as a family car. 2 car seats in the back. Its perfect for a family, comfortable, spacious boot, good for long journeys, economical.
Get a rear dog guard though as anything in the boot could fly into the passenger area in an accident or heavy braking etc.

And much more stylish than the dreaded 'people carrier'

hi paul i have a 11 year old and a 6 year old the 75 is a excellent choice as a family car swallows booster seats/baby seats with ease and the diesel has good mpg both tourer and saloon are very practical

Ah yes, but the Tourer won't necessarily have more rear seat space!
