Default Tayna Batteries

I know Tayna Batteries are regularly recommended by various members, and I have used them myself in the past.

Watching a Youtube video this evening, about the Triumph 2.5PI, there was mention of a discount code for Tayna Batteries...

NUMBER27YT is the code for a 5% discount.

The Triumph video was also quite interesting and I'm sure I spotted a 75 at one point.

I've stopped using youtube due to their policy of privacy invasion.

I bought a Varta for our Fiesta from Tayna last week so that code came just a little late. It was £72 delivered next day & actually, l fitted it a day short of eight years since the AA fitted the last one which was only just sounding a bit weak. Not a bad record for that one which was £77 on a homestart callout.

Ive used them once and wouldn't again.

They maybe a few pounds cheaper however the warranty is basically meaningless, too much hassle sending a battery back if it fails and too many reviews showing they refuse claims and it costs the buyer even more.

Rather buy the cheapest battery from Eurocarparts and have a 3 year hassle free warranty than use tayna.

Use revanced or revanced extended. It will solve your issues based on what you approve in the options.

Yep, but from what I've read on the issue, Meta are looking into the possibility of either rebuffing the change or not allowing users to use youtube with that applet.

Well, l'm going by previous experience of Tayna which is good. If l have a bad experience with them I'll review my options.

I can understand the issues with having to return a faulty battery.

I purchased a Varta motorcycle battery from a mail order seller in South Wales. Unfortunately, it wouldn't hold a charge. The seller told me to send it back, but it's impossible to find a courier to transport a lead/acid battery, for obvious reasons. The seller was less than helpful with suggesting a way of returning it, and returning it in person was not an option.

I eventually spoke to Trading Standards/Consumer Protection and they suggested sending a carefully worded (recorded delivery) letter giving them seven days to collect the battery, etc., etc. This elicited an apologetic 'phone call and a refund, without returning the battery.

I then purchased a Yuasa battery from Halfords, which is still going strong five years later.

I did try contacting Varta via the contact form on their website, but didn't receive a response. I have no way of knowing if they actually received the message, or just ignored me.

Normal stage 1 response. Depending on the company there could/will be other stages to go via before things are taken seriously.

We're finding this more and more these days - companies are happy to deal with us in terms of sales, but when we have a problem (even with some big suppliers!) we're often faced with a brick wall.

Very annoying!
