Put it this way .

The animals that did this won't be missed in society if we planted them.

I don't think so, Nor do I think it would ever happen. I think what needs to be changed is societies low regard for life whether it be this poor girl an industrial 'accident' or a drunk driver.

It is not just the perpetrators that have so low a regard it's also the law itself whether it be a suspended sentence for death by dangerous driving, A fine for a companies flagrant disregard for H&S law leading to a death or a 15 yr sentence for murder and out in 8..All boils down to the same thing, you and your families pain as the victim ain't worth ....

The only area in the USA that I agree with is life means life you are never coming out because at the end of the day society is better off without you and they don't give a stuff for your human rights in the same way the guilty didn't give a stuff about the victims..

Build massive prisons for the never outers with 20% capacity as solitary confinement and leave it empty. You do as your told or you go in there, minimum stay one month no leaving the cell at all..

When penalties fit the crimes then we may see a change but I won't hold my breath.

Due to a few wrongful convictions we no longer have the death penalty.

But with advances in forensic and DNA science, the chances of wrongful conviction are few and far between.

Incontrovertible evidence should lead to the death penalty for all involved, slightest doubt, at very least a life sentence that means life unless subsequent evidence proves a wrongful conviction.

Sadly as things are at present another person has lost their life whilst we the tax payers will support the perpetrators for the rest of their lives.

And I do mean rest of our lives, because even if let out for good behaviour, we'll pay for their new identities and "safe" houses.

Back to the tragic events, not only do I feel for Becky's family but worse still I can only imagine the trauma of this young girls last days on earth.

R.I.P. Becky and rot in Hell to those who did this to you.

Sadly the death penalty is no the deterrent people hoped it to be & the murder rates in states of the usa with death penalty differ little from those who do not practise it.
There will always be those in society who are wired differently and they will behave differently from the rest of us and likely to commit horrendous crimes of cruelty and depravity. most end up in secure hospitals with little chance of release.

Like others here I am sad beyond saying that a sweet young girl with her life before her is no more and the agony of the people left behind must be be beyond imagination at present, my desire for revenge is high but I'm sure logic will prevail in the long run

When young Becky went missing I really feared the worse for her.

As for the perpetrators I hope they rot.

RIP Becky.

George mate, as mentioned on the I S threads, animals kill for food and hierarchy, not for the sake of it so these despicable low life that have carried out this heinous act on an innocent child should not be called animals. Its insulting to the animal kingdom.
Words can't describe what they are, same as I S, vile. I have a daughter the same age too ,just like Wulie
