To be honest, I don't. I was going to ask him to fit LUK as I've heard good things about them, but in the end I decided to leave it to his own judgement.

Risky, I know, but Russell (the mechanic) has a solid reputation throughout the MG world, and way more experience than I. He also gives a full 12 months parts & labour guarantee on his work so I decided ignorance is bliss . I honestly think whatever slave is fitted, you'll find the odd horror story or 2 if you search long enough.
