Default **Testing the water** 18inch serpents for other alloys

Hello all,

Just testing the water whether anyone would be interested in swapping my 18 inch serpents with dunlop winter tyres (approx 6mm tread) for 18 inch gridspokes with some good summer tyres?

It wouldn't be for a while, I would just like to know if anyone would be interested in the near future.

I'll get some pictures as soon as I can.

Thanks

Thanks for the replies guys! Had no idea! used my usual tyre price website and came up with 225/45r18 so just assumed! do they do Gridspokes in 17 inch?

I will keep that in mind Walter, thanks

I'm a bit confused now....most tyre check websites have stated 225/45r18 but as the guys here have said I have 17 inch serpents, does that mean I have different alloys from the factory? is there anywhere I can actually check the spec of my car? 04 MG ZT

are you sure the wheels you have are serpents? These are what serpents look like

As you have a ZT, they're probably not serpents. Can you identify which wheels you have out of the ones below?

Gridspokes are only available in 18inch for our cars

serpents were fitted to the 75. I am sure a dealer would've fitted serpents, if it was requested. 5 spoke 17s were as far as I recall, the only 17s factory fitted ( to the 1.8 NA I think)

I have got serpents 100% I will get some pictures tonight.

Are they worth anything? i.e would someone swap gridspokes or 18 for 17inch alloys?

Thanks

they are desirable, value would depend on condition and tyres etc. Walter has a set see above

remember, 18 inch wheels will ride a little harsher, but will fill the arches better

Still interested, forgot to add that I do have a 5th alloy wheel that I got instead of the space saver. Not sure on the condition and tyre, will get pictures, anyone else got any hairpins or ideally gridspokes

Or even either of them to purchase without swapping? Let me know

Thanks
