Teslas new car
Now this I like the look of
http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2009/03...veils_model_s/ £34k for a sub 5 second 0-60 car with a range of 300 miles. Not bad indeed. I seriously doubt it will come over here in mass production but god it looks nice.

Mmmm. 480v power supply. Doesn't that sort of cut out most of the world then, at least for the fast charge?

Now that does look like an attractive "green" option. It has the look of a Jaguar/Aston Martin hybrid type of thing.....

I heard they weren't being put into production.. A friend of a friend of a friend (you know how it is) in California had one of the prototypes as a test car for a few months.. They tried to buy it when the test was over, as they loved it so much, but were told they couldn't and Tesla took the car back. They contacted the dealership, and were told they couldn't be added to the waiting list for one, as there wasn't a waiting list. Aparrently, there's a load of similar stories all over the internet - And a good few conspiracy theories about the government stepping in and buying the rights to the designs so that it never made it to the public.. Who knows though? Hopefully it'll go into production, as it's the first ECO Car I've ever seen that I'd actually consider..

How about having this kind of technology in our cars? (No more cam-belts and HGFs etc... but on the downside, no more V6 purr ...)
