No rolling road mate... It's just a remap with a certificate. Z&F are a tuning company made up from original MG Rover guys. They specialise in the 1.8T K series engine and have built a good reputation. Quite a few people on here have had the remap carried out. The remap will have a unit price of £200.00 per car rather than the usual £239.00 as long as there are more than 4 cars.

It is held at Cofton Park Longbridge every year around the 14th of April and it is to commemorate the closure of MGROVER

It's true, Trading is not permitted at POL these days. It is more to do with the local council and what activities are permitted to be carried out. ALF (the organisers) are answerable to the council, and certainly I can confirm that last year traders were not permitted to set up. We as a club had special dispensation to sell club merchandise and that alone as part of our stand (the year before we were denied), but we had to pay for the privilege last year.
Again, it's been explained to me that the council have rules and regulations about what goes on in a public park. The Austin Longbridge Federation are not allowed to charge an entrance fee either, that is why the event remains free, and relies on voluntary membership contributions from individuals and clubs such as ours. Any activity such as remapping would have to occur off site of POL, and I'd have to check with Gaydon too if you were thinking of asking about doing it at our National. Again, we have strict guidelines to adhere to over what can and cant be done there. |
