2 Sets of 17" Meteors Alloys for Sale - 1 set cheap, 1 set not so cheap.
Hi all - having currently got far too many sets of rover alloys and tyres ( 4 sets to be exact) I'm selling a couple of sets of meteors. Meteors were originally £1449 as an option from Rover, but my conscience demands that I also tell you that they can be had in the current Rimmers sale for £636 with centers.
As I said, I've got two sets for sale: Set 1 (not so cheap) In excellent condition, with centers. They look fantastic, and along with serpents have over time become my favourite OEM alloys. I've only decided to sell because I'm a bit of a hypermiler and get a little more mpg out of my 15" crowns which have I've got Continental Ecocontacts on. There is a very small amount of curbing on some of the wheels, and I've shown this in the pics below, but they still look stunning - but judge for yourself. The wheels have excellent premium tyres on, these being Continental Contisportcontact 225/45R17 94W, with just under 7mm of tread on (see pics). These tyres have had great reviews, and can currently be purchased from valuetyres.co.uk for £444 for 4. That's a lot of wheels and quality rubber, for a price of £400. Free to collect or they should cost £28 to deliver via Paisley freight. PM me or post if you are interested. Set 2 (cheap) NOW SOLD When I bought my car it came with a set of pretty badly curbed meteors, with some bubbling, but at least complete with centers. If you're at all car proud these will need a refurb, either diy or professional, or maybe just use them for winter tyres. There are currently budget tyres on all of them, two of which are near the legal limit, the other two around 4 mm. Two of the wheels/tyres also have slows, losing about 10psi per week, but no discernable flat spots to my eyes. Given their condition, these are £100, again free to collect or they should cost £28 to deliver via Paisley freight. I haven't put any pics of these on yet, but if you are interested, let me know and I will. PM me or post if you are interested. Pics of Set 1
