How to remove skull cap
How do you remove the colour coded skull cap mirror surround from the black moulding?

You get an old credit card and force it into the join between the cap and the main body. Once in, you slice it around the circumference. This unclips a series of 'claws' that the cap has to grip into corresponding notches around the body. Refitting is just a logical reverse by pressing the cap oto the body by hand.

Thanks T-Cut, bit of a fight. I used a carving knife in the end to remove the caps.
Managed to remove two passenger skull caps and move a chrome one over to the other mirror. This gives me a complete spare passenger mirror. Appreciate the advice thanks macafee2 |
