Default Just playing with another OBD2 reader

Gave the dizzle a quick probing this morning to test a Diagnostic tool ,

And Got engine Error code P1260

and 2 Auto box doces , P1605 ( Eprom) and P1840 ( Can data Bus)


Anything to get worried about ..?

Have cleared them and will see if they pop up again .

P1260 THEFT Detected, Vehicle Immobilized ..
Could be a spurious one here i reckon,.

Although i did accidentally use the 260's key the other day .. obviously didn't start
Doesn't even turn the key ?


Auto box ..

P1605 Keep Alive Memory Test Failure ... erm! Pass

P1840 Transmission Transfer Case Shift Motor Short Circuit To Battery

Pass again ..

Those code descriptions are generic Chris so I wouldn't lose any sleep over them. I've also found that third party diagnostic tools can produce all sorts of spurious results, so if I were you I would try to verify them with T4.

P1605 means you've disconnected the battery at some stage.

P1260 is "Fuel delivery pressure too low for starting"

This occurs when the fuel pumps are allowed to time out, as well as when there is a fault with the LP fuel supply pressure.

Don't you just love generic code readers........saves you hours in fault finding

The under bonnet pump is still the original (like 99% of the rest of the car) @ just on 130k ..
