Default for gods sake

local didnt put his handbrake on fully on the hill.
and yes it rolled down the hill and wedged itself between mine and a fence.
back bumper stuffed, few marks on the top drivers side panel.
my only concern is the dent of about 10 inches long above the filler cap just on
the roll of the wing .

Ouch! that is bad luck, first thing, make sure you've got his insurance details and start a claim against his insurance. Next, start getting quotes from local bodyshops for the dent repair. Do not allow the car to be 'taken for assessment' or any of that tosh (strongest word I think I'm allowed to use here), If his insurance want to send a qualified auto assessment engineer at your convenient time to you to take a look at the car then that's fine. Good luck!

but like you say first job get some quotes.
only the dent im worried about.
bumper is easy to sort out as long as one comes along at the right price .
will sort out some photos in a bit.
daft thing is I put a post up saying things come in 3 and I had 2 problems then .

Why Steve? That can be pulled out, filled and re-sprayed.

Pass I think the same. But he was told that by his insurance.
Mine not been informed as yet . But you know what insurance people are like . Has the name rover on so its written off before you start.
I will fight it if that's what they say.

You say you have not informed your insurers yet Steve. If I were you, I would. You might find it to your disadvantage if you don't. I understand why the widely held suspicion of insurers is so, but there is often a misunderstanding of policy conditions leading to it.

Surely they do have an interest, their own. But without an agreed value policy (which would involve your own policy and insurance company), they would stop paying out over the market value.
