I've taken mine to over 120 (Speedo) on a runway and it felt great. But on a road.. Never. Thats why I think whoever it was was a complete idiot.

2 miles a minute on a public highway. One word to describe that:- Insane.

I don't think top speed has ever been on my list of boxes to tick when chosing a car.

I got stoped for doing 120KPH once, Years ago, But he let me go (in happend in NI) Cos he couldn't do anything. couldn't give me points... But more then 10 years on I seem to like doing 55MPH ...

Oh back to the point. Go as fast as the wind, But not with other people on it...!

I tend to drive to road capability and usage. I have a long flat open road on my commute and I may reach, inadvertently 80mph. In summer with all the idiots from the towns on the road I consciously drop my predilection to open the throttle as they do not seem to be able to cope with country A-roads!!

There is nothing wrong with driving within the parameters of road, vehicle and road usage limitations. As Clint Eastwood once put it.... "A man just has to know his limitations"

Just MHO...........

Rules (Laws) are there for the observance of fools and the guidance of the wise..........

Where is the smiley with a stirring spoon?

when i bought a BMW 540i AT 20, I thought I was big and clever and managed to get 140 mph (indicated) the second day I had it. It was just a s the sun was going down on a deserted road. Now 5 Years later I would even consider doing that. I know I was stupid at the time...
