Hi all,
first of all I don't know how? what do you think about having a National Map of the "Real" ,specialists. just a city general guide or more specific if they all agree. We all have local so called specialists. However there are proper Real specialist enthusiast's on this Forum and they deserve recognition. Other than just searching their address, which doesn't really put it in perspective. I for one am prepared to travel and stay in a b&b to have a job done by a PROPER ENTHUSIAST SPECIALIST MECHANIC knowing its been done right, just my thoughts, what do you all think, Paul (Crazy Frog) P.S if this gets any attention its upto the moderators to make it happen |

I know there's a list but I thought the map had disappeared up its own.... Has it been resurrected?

Phil-T4's map no longer exists, it disappeared and even Phil didn't know why, only that the hosting site vanished.

Years ago, I drove down to a former member and stayed the night at Bexhill-on-sea, South East for repairs to be carried out on the V6. The member did the work great, but he is banned from the club.
Another time in 2014, we spent a night in Colwyn Bay, North Wales in a B&B so that Jules could carry out repairs and upgrade the A/C to working properly. To get to his place, it helps to be a mountain goat, as it is up a narrow lane and then a track.....Julian likes biscuits Marina Brian - we stayed at the Premier Inn at Newcastle Airport for 2 nights, so that he could carry out a diagnostic interrogation of the V6, using his T1 and T4 equipment, then repairs, the weather was bitterly cold and despite this hardship, Brian pressed on until he got the job done.... and he likes biscuits . A great idea about listing the gurus on a map and particularly useful when one is touring the UK. It also supports them, they know our cars and from experience, they never rip us off. What about the nano meets, where they carry out hands on repairs. How would they feature and would they want to be on the map? |

What we really need is for the expert/enthusiast traders to start offering cheap B&B and for more of them to move to the south/east.
Come on you lot, pull you fingers out! |
