I'm fully capable of doing that myself. I used to build and race cars.

Either that, or I could pick up the phone to any of the T4 operators on here and find out who was last hooked up to your car, if it were any of them. What you don't seem to understand, is your friend would not be paying for a generic off the peg job, but rather a tailored upgrade designed for their car. What you would get for a measly £120 is the combined knowledge of me, Russ, and Phil. Now I don't know what you do for a living, nor do I care, however I bet neither you, nor the person supplying a £50 upgrade to your friend supply R40 diesel engine management systems to the people supplying Rover parts world wide......I do though Also you reckon this was done with a "cheap laptop and a second hand T4" Well I'm going to let you into a little secret, I paid £7500+vat for my T4 in 2006, and do you know what else, if you weren't too tight to pay 19 pence a week to subscribe to this forum, you could have driven up to see me and had all of the deepest darkest secrets of your car revealed, and the benefit of having as much knowledge thrown in your direction as you could absorb while being plied with coffee and chocolate biscuits, for not one penny !! Beat that for a deal, you won't get this from Facebook, or other places, because I'm not there Brian |

The point you are missing is the work involved in the preparation of the nine distinct basic tunes took approximately eleven thousand man hours to complete. And add into that in 2005 Rover charged £538 for an X-Power 131PS upgrade, and up until 12 months ago X-Part charged £199+Vat, and today for the same upgrade charge when combined with a T4 session required to install it from an X-Part agent £140, how do you think £120 is dear Are you just a terminal tightwad? Some people just love a bargain, every price just a starting point for negotiation. I've known people barter in charity shops. They love that buzz from getting a deal. Some people are just wired up that way.
