Got a lovely weekend with my girlfriend planned, I'm off to see her later!

Have a great weekend Stu with the girlfriend

What is the origin of the phrase "doesn't cut the mustard"?

When Mustard was one of the main crops in East Anglia, it was cut by hand with scythes, in the same way as corn. The crop could grow up to six feet high and this was very arduous work, requiring extremely sharp tools. When blunt they "would not cut the mustard". All this and everything else you could ever want to know about mustard can be found at the Mustard Museum in Norwich.
You need to get out more ....

And stay away from mustard museums.

Whilst sitting at son's house, whiling away time before taking the grandbairns to school, I got a call from SWMBO. No. 1 daughter had just rung from the school where she works, saying she'd left her mobile phone at home - and could Dad pick it up and deliver it to school for her, as she was expecting a couple of urgent calls (work related) on it. She's being interviewed this afternoon for the post of Deputy Headteacher, so I didn't want to put her under any more stress - so "of course Dad will!!"
So I walk the mile and half home from the grandbairns' school at a fast pace (puffing, panting and breathing heavily), jump in the car, drive to daughter's house and spend half an hour looking for the ruddy phone (she'd left it on silent, so even ringing it didn't help me). Eventually find it (behind a cushion and down the side of the sofa) and then drive 8 miles to drop it off at her school's reception desk.
The things we dads get let in for

All the happiness that used to be

Soon my eyes will close
Soon I'll find repose
And in dreams, you're always near to me

I'll see you in my dreams
And then I'll hold you in my dreams
