Default Fuel Prices Down Again...But not Enough

As Title really.
Filled up a short while ago at 109.9p per Litre for Diesel.
Petrol is 99.9p per Litre.

Our Sainsburys, Morrison's and Shell have it at this price,
the rest are all dearer, some much more so.

Tesco which is about 12 miles away nearest fuel station much dearer.

I always try to support the small independant shop. Veg is always fresher., meat is a better quality etc so I dont mind the extra price but petrol is petrol so boycott the small garage and get there prices in line.

99.9 for petrol seems to be almost across the board today.

But how can a place selling petrol at 99.9 justify selling diesel at 16p a litre more?

The Shell garage attached to my local Co-Op was at 99.9 for unleaded today and if you spend £40.00 in the Co-Op a further 4p per litre discount. Tescos is still 105.9

What did crude peak at in the summer? About $144 a barrel?

We were paying about £1.20 a litre for petrol & £1.45 a litre for diesel?

So..... If crude is now half the price it was, how come fuel at the pumps isn't half what we were paying?

I know it takes time for cuts to work their way through, something like 6 weeks, but the price rises were implemented immediately.

Because the price of oil is in US Dollars, and the pound is weaker against the dollar than it was.

Also remember a lot of the money actually goes to Alistair Darling....

I cannot find a single garage around me that is under the £1.
In fact the cheapest I have found is 102.9 5 miles away but most are 103.9+.

Never mind.

One thing I always found hard to understand was when I lived in Milford Haven, South Wales our petrol prices were higher than areas 100miles away and all the fuel they sold was transferred from the Milford refineries.. The further they travelled the less you paid.

Same in Pembroke and surrounding areas.
Pembroke docks has the Oil tankers there all the time
but fuel expensive.

I am boycotting Tesco's as they only reduce prices to match Local levels.
NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD- the customer if they can get away with ripping more off of you they do.
They are admitting only match where required otherwise charge as much as they can.
Con Men and rip off store Artists.

Their loss and written to them to tell them so tonight.

There are two small garages in the village of Penyparc, nr. Cardigan which are the cheapest in the area. Diesel today at 110.9p/litre (petrol @ 99.9p/ltr) Tesco is usually 5-7p dearer. With other garages matching Tesco or above.
