KV6 oil filter v. low price
Halfords are currently offering a Crosland oil filter for the KV6 at just £3.36!
To qualify for this unbelievably low price it must be ordered on-line for Click and Collect. If you just turn up at a shop the price will be higher.
I ordered mine this morning and it's due at my chosen branch tomorrow afternoon. A more inconveniently located branch offered collection in one hour! Simon

Even better!
Good spot Simon
Their web site also indicated there's a !0% discount code that can be applied too (CP10) However, their web site went a bit wobbly when I tried to change my order to Quantity 2. But after changing back to Quantity 1 and applying the discount code CP10, the price became £2.72 after applying ANOTHER 30p discount in my Basket! Just for fun I thought I'd try placing a second order, Quantity 1 again, went through the same process and got a second filter for £2.72 too! Pickup tomorrow Thanks again John

You lads don't fancy an original filter then
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/352488705877 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/303884871942 Crossland one is a bargain though and fairly decent.

Crosland seemed to disappear from the scene many years ago but Euro Car Parts has bought and re-launched the brand and I have it on good authority that this is where Halfords gets them!
The same filter direct from ECP is £6.09. Simon

Halfords' idea of customer service
I now regret encouraging club members to purchase from Halfords.
I placed my order on-line last Wednesday. It was to be available for collection from a local branch from 4 pm the following day. Today is Monday and it is still showing as "on its way" so I click within the e-mail to "chat with an agent". This transfers me to their website and the agent has now been upgraded to an "expert". That sounds encouraging but it turns out to be a virtual assistant so I end that straight away. I go back to the website and call the 0330 phone number. After endless menu selections I get one burst of ringing tone followed by silence. I search for my nominated branch's phone number to speak to a member of staff there but Halfords doesn't want that. Branch phone numbers are not made available. For my fourth attempt I call the 0330 phone number again and choose the option for help with buying something. Surprise, surprise, a person answers immediately. That says a lot about Halfords' priorities doesn't it. The agent takes my details, puts me on hold and returns to say that she has asked the branch to call me back later today with an explanation! So dear Halfords, just put the branch phone numbers on your website and save your customers time and dispense with all the useless high-tech nonsense. In the meantime, don't make delivery promises that you can't keep. Simon

But I've also been let down by them before so they are rarely my first choice. Hope you get sorted. Regards John

To recap, two days ago I spoke to customer services early in the morning. I was promised a phone call from the collection branch.
Two days later and I have had no call, despite giving them landline and mobile numbers. So today I told customer services to cancel my order. I was asked to hold whilst she telephoned the collection branch to cancel the order and issue a refund. Not surprisingly the branch didn't pick up. So having been required to order on-line for "click and collect", subsequently all enquiries and cancellations are dealt with not on-line but by the branch. But customers cannot telephone the branch and when their own colleagues do, they don't answer! If there was a competition to devise an unworkable system with no benefit to the customer, Halfords would win first prize. I told the call handler that I had zero confidence in the branch to organise anything at which point she claimed to have e-mailed a separate cancellation and refunds department from whom I would hear within 24 hours. Hmmm. Stand by for further announcements. Simon
