Hi Paul, it is encouraging to see you getting lots of votes for what you are planning to do. It is enterprising to change the steering wheel over to a wooden one in walnut and even though I like the blue, it is equally nice to see it in wood
Maybe this is assumption on my part, but it is said with the best of intentions, I think that Sean will do his best to save you as much as possible in terms of costs, once he has been able to assess the car and see if he is able to put it back on the road. When it has been restored to completion, I am sure the car will give you a great deal of pleasure. I admire you for taking this project on. You are doing a fine job in keeping us up to date, in going through the problems as and when they happen. The photo of the wooden steering wheel - thanks for showing it to us. A nice touch |

Freelanders do a fit and there is lots of info on the forum about doing this. Bear in mind that an OEM walnut handbrake is a rare find. They do come up now and again for sale. |
