Transmission to Sump hex bolt needed - manual 1.8
Can anybody help out with that odd bolt, hex / allen key fitting, that connects through the manual gear box flange to the sump please?

Might take a while to get what you are looking for and then to have it posted to you.
If the next bolt to it looks the same maybe you could remove it as a pattern to buy another. Anywhere that sells nuts and bolts could supply you with another.---No special strength required in that particular application. |

There used to be a place on the Uxbridge Road between Ealing Common underground station and Acton police station that did nuts and bolts.

Actually all the D_I_Y stores over here in France sell a range of nuts and bolts and I guess the same thing can be found in GB.

I wanted a bolt but did not know what the thread was, some had said UNF. Place I went to checked and confirmed UNF and supplied a bolt, average DIY place would not be able to identify the thread and wont have UNF bolts. Alas these specialists can be few and far between, nearest one to me is about 25 miles away. macafee2 |

One of the better locations for such things I have tried, Screwfix, are unable to help. Some of the others normally supply fastenings in packs of ten.
I have asked here in the hope that someone may have dismantled or broken a vehicle therefore having one. I am hopeful that one will turn up before I assemble the sump etc. next week. |

Fred,
Give Tighten Up a call in Twickenham on 020 8893 4908, they're sure to have what you want. You can buy just one from their counter, they specialise in stainless steel and have a customer car park behind the barrier. What more could you wish for? Simon

The only thing that I could ask Simon, is that I had a working car to put in their car park ; that is very helpful though, and will now be my first port of call as I can do that on the bus, thank you.
