I’m going to be awkward and say I like the stance but not the style, they remind me of the alloys fitted to the 120 ZT

Get the thumbs up from me. I think the ZT is a hard car to choose alloys for, they're very style sensitive and it's easy to get it wrong. You've done well there Rick

Yes that is true This is one of those sets of wheels that look a lot better in person than they look in the pics. Not for everyone of course, it's one of those things that is a personal taste

Thanks Yes you are right there. I find due to the shape and design of the car very few aftermarket wheels really suit. This set I personally think looks well. I was looking at BBS LM reps but they fade very quickly and are also prone to denting fairly easily from pot holes when I researched into them. Didn't fancy paying around £600 for a set of rims without tyres which would potentially fade within a couple of years. Anything else I liked looked too much like standard wheels which would be pointless.

The front arch gap is pretty much standard, the gear arch gap makes the car look lowered.

Took it for a run and the ride is a tiny bit harsher as would be expected due to the drop from 45 to 35 profile tyres. These tyres have quite a lot of tread on them at the moment so will be leaving them as they are, but once it's time to change them I think I will go for 235/40/19 tyres, as I know of others who run 19 inch wheels with this size tyres fitted with good results, stops the ride being too harsh, fills the arches a bit better and has a very minimal affect on the speedometer as well.
With the current tyre size, at an indicated 30mph you will be travelling at 29.75 mph, and 69.5 at an indicated 70mph , with 235-40-19 you will travelling at a shade under 31mph at an indicated 30MPH, and at an indicated 70MPH you will be travelling at 72mph

Worth taking into consideration when choosing new rubber

Just put a set of BBS LMs (reps) on my TT, they are 5x100, might try them on the ZT-T!! Loads of nice used wheels for sale on VW and Audi Facebook groups, just need to find what suits the car as I agree not many aftermarket wheels do ! Think yours looks great!
