engine removal (diesel)
just a quick question what sort of time frame am i looking at to remove engine and box and is there anything i need to look out for,its not my first engine swap but just looking for any hick ups in advance cheers gordon.

I don't know if you can get engine out with gearbox attached. With engine tilted over, separating the gearbox from engine I found a problem as engine was at an angle but gearbox was horizontal.

I pulled an engine with auto box out no problem. All depends on how careful you want to be, if you just want to rip it out and have little care for ancillaries you are looking at 4 to 5 hours experience dependant. If you want to be careful and have a higher regard for the cars bodywork and ancillaries I'd allow an extra hour or two

I like to take a full day to remove an engine and gearbox, you need plenty of tea while undertaking this task.
