Its a car I said I would get IF I had to replace the tourer... BUT I detest the dash on the Insignia... everything else I like... just detest the dash.... but then, upon sitting in the Supermarket carpark, you see them parked and nobody gives them a second glance...... My 75 still gets people give that glance back.....or as I found on my return to my car in Sainsburys the other day, a chap walking around it... obviously not worth him stealing it, so he must have been admiring my tourer. ... even though its a 1.8 n/a...with a real Rover engine , not no fake BMW lump.

If I am not mistaken, the rear legroom may actually be worse than the 75 - was at a mates in Northampton this weekend and his kids struggle in the back seat

My garage guy says the Insignia is the most visited car to his garage, absolute load of unreliable rubbish (his words not mine).

They do make cracking Toiletries though,

They've got everything from Shampoo to shower Gel, Deodorants and Aftershaves, the one all over smell.

Volvo would be my choice. Built like tanks. Probably a D40.

Well, today I had a trip to the football in Glasgow on board a friends XF. First time I have been out in one. To be frank I was a bit disappointed. It is good. Comfortable, but not so stuck in the middle at the back. Little legroom. And little headroom. Looked fine and comfortable in the front though. The dash and instrumentation were ok but not anything to write home about. Bit of wood here and there which was nice but not a 75!

Diesel auto which is what most would get I suppose but just a bit ordinary. Not like a 75 or MG ZT.

But still much nicer than an Insignia!

At my time of life and limited mileage I do these days I could keep a couple of 75's on the road and probably see me out so it's not a worry as to what to replace it

I have the same experience. One important thing to note with these comparisons is that we're comparing a brand new car with one that is anything up to 16 years old! The very fact that our 75's and ZT's still allow such a comparison is amazing. How about comparing the Insignia or Mondeo with an equivalent Vauxhall or Ford from 1999? I bet the difference from a 75 would be quite dramatic! I know this because I've done it.
