Default Is my hydramount knackered?

Lots of engine vibration in the cabin but it's sort of crept up on me.

Car is high mileage so it sort of makes sense.

It doesn't look to be leaking, but not only is it cracked but it looks like the whole thing is cracked and has "moved over" for want of a better word.

Yep. Looks like the top has moved over to one side.

I have noticed my recently purchased 75 cdti has engine vibration on acceleration and a slight vibration at constant revs. Not much but enough to make the rear view mirror vibrate a little bit. Mine has done 187000 so I suspect the same problem. Where is it situated? Bashed up hand for me today as my drivers side dip beam has failed. Either that or Halfords?

The next question - a hydramount is quite expensive (£80 delivered). Am I going to notice a large difference?

Drivers side of the engine, underneath the large metal "block".

Try DMGRS on here - I think Mat's hydramount price is just over 50 pounds. Based on the photos, a new mount should make quite a difference. There is a 'how to' on here somewhere regarding fitting - not too hard - it took me a couple of hours at most.

Default Hydramount

Here you go

It only becomes more difficult if your top linkage has a large metal ingot welded to it which prevents you from undoing the nut on the top of the Hydramount itself. some cars have this ingot most do not.

In that case, you will need to unbolt the black 'fork' bracket that goes over the top of the hydramount - 2 bolts that go into the tie bar to the inner wing, then loosen the pivot bolt (at the rubber bush forward of the hydramount, where the 'fork' joins the main upper right engine mounting). You then need to swing the 'fork' upwards to get at the hydramount nut if you have this metal ingot block - you might need to undo some of the retaining clips for the air con pipes, and move the pipes slightly to one side to allow room for this to happen.

Good luck !!
