Flamin' Heck! Do they make owt that lasts longer than a maggot these days? the big screen TV has bit the dust, It's just under three years old for heavens sake.

I've ordered another one from Argos, same day delivery.

It's been an expensive week with my Specs & now this.

Been there myself Freddie, my course was unnecesary, as the camera van was facing the same direction I was travelling , so they got me with a rear view camera pic, supposedly doing 35 in a 30 limit. I took the course, even though I was innocent, as it would have cost me more to contest it, and fighting the police, would have been useless anyway, as the judge will, always take the word of the police in motoring offence cases. If the camera had been facing me,then it was possible I could have been speeding, but I inew the van was there, as cars coming towards me were flashing their lights and makng” slow down” signs, so for me to have been doing 35 past a camera van that was facing my direction of travel would have been stupidity on my part.
The wife got done about 3 weeks previously doing exactly the same speed, and Im convnced that the camera flagged up the number plate as it was already on the system..

Oh no, sorry to hear that Ian. That’s what you don’t need at Christmas. In 2013, I bought a JVC LED smart TV with a DVD built in plus other features from one of the mods for £100. It’s low power 43W which is handy for running off the solar. It was a reconditioned set and I brought it out to Kenya in my hand luggage. It still works a treat and it came with a DVD called ‘Black Hawk Down’

You have a full day to complete Richard and celebrating your mums birthday was fantastic that you were able to share that time with her. Go carefully when you drive into the town later with the idiots and chancers around. We have been invited to a neighbour’s house for Christmas drinks later on, walking distance.

For some reason the toilet cistern has become painfully slow to refill. Had a look online, could just be restricted with cr*p. Minor technicality though, I can find instructions for dismantling and cleaning every conceivable ballcock going . . . . apart from the one I've got. I can see some "experimental" DIY coming up.

Shanghai red braised pork with rice for dinner. Just set it cooking so be an hour or so. First saw the recipe on telly, Rick Stein in Shanghai.
