Default Powerfold bullets

Hello folks

I have a facelift with powerfold mirrors.

My question is if i were to purchase bullet chrome powerfolds to replace are they simply plug and play?

Or are the looms/connectors different?

If this is simple case of switching does anybody have a pair for sale?

Regards Lee

Plug and play -assuming you currently have powerfolds. If not you need to have the orange loom running across the dash which feeds the powerfolds.

Thanks for reply!

I do have powerfolds - on my facelift. Wondered if my loom/connections are the same?

The looms are the same, but the skullcap is a far superior mirror in terms of being useful at looking behind you.

Thanks Bri & Andy.

I can live with both of those drawbacks....as bullets LOOK great

Now does anybody have a tidy pair pretty please?

No, they look OK on an early Mk1 and completely stupid on a facelift, but it's your car and they will fit, so that answers the original question

I admire your honesty Brian!

I like people who are unafraid to speak their mind too. There is far too much not wanting to offend anyone or anything these days

I'll find some pics and decide.

Thanks for the help folks!

I prefer the shape of the bullet mirror, skull caps look like shreks ears 🤣

Aside from looks the other benefit with bullets is you can see the whole of the passenger mirror glass from the drivers seat unlike skulls
