Smile Samsung P900.

I have a Samsung SMP900 I bought from e.bay about six months ago and it has been fine, yesterday it went back in time to the first owner and all the screens and home pages are messed up. I want to do a factory reset, I have been all through my settings and can't find the reset button, any advice please?. Thanks, John.

This/these methods wipe all of the data.

I am assuming that you have tried to a basic reboot.

I dont know much about phones and tablets, but when my father got a new tablet recently, when we set it up, he was able to add all the apps he had on his old tablet onto the new one, basically setting it up to how it was on the old tablet. There was an option to do it to his phone at the same time if I recall. I wonder if the previous owner has done this? (whilst convenient, it it shows how easily data can be 'given away' - even to someone who doesnt care or know about such things - and justifies my 'policy' of unticking 'do you want google to remember this data etc' options)

I only ever HAD to go back to factory once, a few years ago. With android there is a factory reset option. Search via google for 'android reset tablet' and it will take you through the stages, it involves using various buttons on the tablet itself. I cannot remember the stages, but when you read it, you will think you will need three hands. (It was something LIKE the on button, volume up, volume down and the home screen altogether lol but check to be sure)

Oops, I didn't watch the video all the way through, I found the bit where I had to press the buttons and it has wiped everything off. I'm grateful for all your help. Thanks, John.
