Default 1001st post [emoji3] Well, it took long enough....

Well, after 5 years, I’ve finally reached over 1000 posts.
Guess that either means that I don’t know enough to give much advice, or I’m shy.🙄.
Started here, clueless, in 2013, after purchasing a 2006 75 saloon, with 52k on it if I recall. Now on 110k odd, battle scarred, but driving a hell of a lot better than when I bought it.😁
Even the car is driving better.🤭
Then got crofts 2003 tourer, about 2 yr ago, racking up a mere 13k on it, since then, and purring away nicely. 👍
Lately have purchased “project car”, a 2003 R75 saloon, with 103k, but needing a fair bit of tlc. Hope to have it “properly” legal & fully functional by end April. 🤔
Have even got FIL driving one. 😱

Anyhow, just wanted to thank:
- the traders, and those who trade, for getting us the bits we need, when we need them & for having to take the flak, when things don’t go to plan.
- all those who have contributed to the forum, and to my / our pleas of help, since I’ve taken up ownership, (as I also gain a lot of info, from replies to other people’s situations).
- the moderators, who have an endless and sometimes thankless task.

Unfortunately, I have seen a lot of good members, contributors and their loved ones have passed on since I’ve joined.
I don’t usually comment on the grey banner threads, as, due to living in NI, I’ve not had the pleasure of knowing them personally, but respectfully appreciate their former contributions to the club and to its followers. You are sorely missed.

On a more optimistic note, as far as I can see, the Rover / Mg, scene is growing in NI, (And ROI) thanks to the work done by ColinNI, and others behind the scenes. Roll on tollymore 2018.😀

Happy motoring.

There are no stupid questions.
Help those who you can.
We all start at the beginning!

Regards,
Sean.
