Fitting sill-floor covers?
Anyone know the easiest way to refit them, just can't get them to stay on?

I know there's a 'u'shape so you can slide them on but I fit the clips first and tap them on with a rubber mallet

I agree with the above.
I bought my first lot of trim clips off ebay and they were rubbish, bought genuine and fitted first time. |

Without a doubt.
When I first got the car the trims kept falling off. I got the correct clips from Rimmers and they haven't moved since. Fifer

I have no doubt that my colleagues are correct, but I have had some success re-fitting both of my N/S trims.
I agree fitting new fir tree clips is preferable, but providing you can apply the right amount of downward pressure in the area immediately above the clips, they do go back with a bit of persuasion. Press down hard and slide in the appropriate direction until engaged. The rear was easier as there are only two clips (one per hand pressing down), but I borrowed a hand from my Son to do the front (3 clips, only 2 hands). The trick is keeping clumsy people out of ones car or educating them to pick their feet up when leaving it! Failing that, it's 'no more nails' time!!!

Why not use our forum trader DMGRS, cheaper parts & postage than Rimmers.

I glued my fir trees into the trim as well, Araldite. Mother in Law hasn't shifted one again, she was always kicking the back one off. Must be about 4 in local Tescos car park somewhere.
